Transition Bandit 29 2012
What Transition Say:
More enduro than cross country; the Bandit 29 has aggressive geometry and a stout frame that gives you the confidence to go anywhere without sacrificing on the way up. Based around 140mm travel forks; the Bandit 29 features 130mm rear wheel travel, a tapered headtube and 142mm x 12mm thru-axle dropouts for a stiff rear end. A slack head angle and low bottom bracket combined with the increased axle height of the 29 wheels gives the rider a more stable, planted feel on the trail. On a Bandit 29 you are IN the bike, not ON the bike. The Bandit 29 offers amazing cornering traction and increased confidence while descending in a lightweight package that makes it fun to earn your turns.
What We Say:
The Transition Bandit 29 is one of the most capable 29er bikes on the market. With slack geometry and 140/130mm of travel, it shreds down technical singletrack, yet is super quick on the climbs with its large 29" wheels. Most 29ers on the market feature XC race angles and travel, restricting them when the going get rough. Try a 29er which really takes advantage of the larger wheel, try a Bandit 29.
