The Bandit is our take on a traditional trail bike designed to rip up and down the mountain. We pushed the envelope of tube design and machining to create a bike that absolutely floats through singletrack. Careful attention to pivot placement and leverage curves make the Bandit feel like a longer travel bike on the way down, but an XC race bike going up. We set out to create a trail bike that combined great uphill efficiency with a playful and aggressive spirit on the descent. The Bandit includes a custom tuned shock that’s matched perfectly to the leverage curve for a bottomless feel, great small bump sensitivity and efficient pedaling. For 2012 we have increased frame stiffness with new 12mm x 142mm dropouts. But don’t worry, if you still have a 135mm wheelset that you can’t convert we have optional 10mm x 135mm dropouts as well. The Bandit also includes adjustable seatpost cable routing and ISCG tabs to keep your options open.

The Transition Bandit is Transition's first mountain bike designed for what the majority of people want, a bike that is efficient at climbing yet can descend confidently and bring a smile to your face. Despite it being their first bike, it's quite an achievement and already one of the best on the market. 140mm upfront, 130 out back and fantastic modern geometry lead to a bike that can be ridden all day and shred. the Bandit 2 build comes with quality parts that are light, can take a beating and not cost the earth. But all the part fundamentals are the same as the Bandit 1 so you arn't compromising on ride quality.
