Here is a post from shop staff rider Sam Hart
“Yesterday I was fortunate to get to ride the Olympic Mountain Bike course in Hadleigh farm Essex!!!!
I had to pinch myself a few times! I was riding with Scott pro rider Brendan Faircloth (who was shooting for Dirt magazine with awesome photographer Grant Robinson), and the Olympic Mountain Bike team Liam Kileen, David Fletcher, Kenta Gallagher and Grant Ferguson.
We were taken round by the course designer Phil Saxena of London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) who sure knows his stuff. It was pretty cool hearing what plans they have for the legacy course which will open to the public in late 2012. There are going to be various routes for different abilities, which means its an excellent place to go learn and progress. The course was hard, unlike many of the recent reports which have suggested it is too tame. Well I can guarantee you it isn’t! It is a constant battle of sharp uphills, and steep downhills with technical rock features, shoots and drops.
I can’t wait to see the course rode at race level on TV during the games!”
